Hoffen wir, dass der Krieg schon lange vor dem Event ein Ende gefunden hat. Das Drama des verwüsteten Landes Ukraine, dort, wo viele der besten Hersteller von Modellflugzeugen ihren Sitz hatten und produzierten, wird aber lange nicht zu Ende sein!!
Insofern ist die Freude auf den Event getrübt. So geht es zumindest mir.
Nutzen wir den Event zum Auftanken, zum Durchatmen, zum Freunde treffen, zum gemeinsamen Fliegen, Feiern und lasst uns trinken auf die Hoffnung und die Vernunft!!

Die zeitfressende Korrespondenz mit der österreichischen Luftfahrtbehörde Austro Control führt uns zum Ergebnis, dass wir nächste Woche mit dem endgültigen Bescheid der Bewilligung des Events rechnen können, der nach der neuen EU-DVO neu einjustiert werden musste. Allerdings gibt es einen Punkt, der erst jetzt klar ist:
Jeder Teilnehmer MUSS einen Kompetenznachweis vorlegen!

Investiert eine Stunde Zeit und dann habt ihr das Scheinchen in der Tasche.
Das sollte es euch wert sein, oder?
Wer dafür zu bequem ist - ok, der bleibt halt hinterm Ofen ;-) (Sorry, auch die gibt´s ...)
Und für die ganz Thermikhungrigen: An zwei Tagen bieten wir gegen einen vertretbaren Unkostenbeitrag einen Abholservice NACH der letzten Gondelfahrt ins Tal an - für maximal 16 Personen. Zwei Busse mit jeweils 8 Sitzplätzen fahren euch dann runter ins Tal. Die Modelle bleiben ja oben ... gut, oder?
Fiss und seine vorzügliche Gastronomie freut sich auf euch!

Let's hope that the war will have ended long before the event. But the drama in the devastated country of Ukraine, where many of the best model aircraft manufacturers were based and produced, will not be over for a long time!
In this respect, the joy of the event is dampened. At least that is how I feel.
Let's use the event to refuel, to take a deep breath, to meet friends, to fly together, to celebrate and let's drink to hope and rationality!!!

Latest News
The time-consuming correspondence with the Austrian aviation authority Austro Control has led us to the conclusion that we can expect the final decision on the approval of the event next week, which had to be readjusted according to the new EU-DVO.
However, there is one point that is just now clear:
Every participant MUST present a certificate of competence!

Invest an hour of your time and you will have the certificate in your pocket.
That should be worth it, right?
If you're too comfortable for that - ok, stay behind the stove ;-) (Sorry, there are also those ...)

And for those who are really hungry for thermals: On two days we offer a pick-up service AFTER the last gondola ride down to the valley - for a maximum of 16 people - for a reasonable fee. Two buses with 8 seats each will take you down to the valley.
The models stay on top ... good, isn't it?
